In 3.0.1rc2 for PPC, at least, this is true, although Help states
(incorrectly) that it exists and can be found under
Tools/Options/OpenOffice.org.
Also in OO.o 3.0.1 for Intel Macs. It can be found under
'Tools/Options/OpenOffice.org' as well as
'OpenOffice.org/Preferences/OpenOffice.org'

If I recall correctly, some of Mako's builds from good-day didn't have
the Update option. I'm not sure if this function is in the user profile
or in the program itself. I seem to recall that I did not have that
function until I created a new profile, but I can't remember for sure.
