It is *still* a driver/system issue. With the HP set 'collate' on your printer settings and see if it prints multiple copies. For both you, and JJJ, these might be of interest: <http://www.linux-archive.org/ubuntu-user/213945-printing-multiple-copies.html> https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/309881 [Printing multiple pages on HP printer - bug filed as a result from that thread] https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cups [enter 'multiple' as the search term in the box next to 'by importance'. The result will be as follows.] <https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cups?field.searchtext=multiple&orderby=-importance&search=Search&field.status%3Alist=NEW&field.status%3Alist=INCOMPLETE_WITH_RESPONSE&field.status%3Alist=INCOMPLETE_WITHOUT_RESPONSE&field.status%3Alist=CONFIRMED&field.status%3Alist=TRIAGED&field.status%3Alist=INPROGRESS&field.status%3Alist=FIXCOMMITTED&field.assignee=&field.bug_reporter=&field.omit_dupes=on&field.has_patch=&field.has_no_package=> (undecided) 304281 package cups 1.3.9-2ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: package cups is not ready for configuration Undecided New (undecided) 309515 Gimp 2.6.1 printing bug in Intrepid Undecided Incomplete (undecided) 309881 Printing multiple pages on HP printer Undecided New (undecided) 320391 impossible to print multple copies under ubuntu 8.10 and the current test release Undecided New (undecided) 326949 Ubuntu 8.10 printing is broken Undecided New (undecided) 327246 hp 1510 Printer error when multiple printing Undecided New There you will find others with 8.10 having the same problems - not only with OOo, but with Gimp and other packages. I recommend that both of you register on launchpad (upper right corner of the page) and apply comments to whichever bug applies to you most, or even file a new bug. That is the only way that it is likely to get resolved. FWIW I see no issues with 8.04 (Hardy) or 8.10 (Intrepid) - both 32bit - using my Canon MP750. However, for that printer I use a 3rd party (Turboprint) driver as I was having other issues (alignment) with the foomatic driver in cups. And that is printing from the following: OOo 2.4.1 (Ubuntu OOo) OOo 2.4.2 (OOo version) OOo 3.0.1 (Ubuntu OOo PPA) OOo 3.0.1 (OOo version) OOo 3.1 (OOo Dev snapshot version) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected]
