Ah... correct there. I was looking at the import filter selections for
opening a new doc. Regarding 55152; I recall bringing this up several
years ago & even asked where the file is so that I could re-sort them
myself - the response was not positive. I'll look again and see if I can
find the file in 3.x.

How would you propose that be done? If the file type is unknown & OOo is
asking you to tell it what you think it should be, then it's not
possible to show only filters applicable to the module at hand. Think
about it... I think the best would be to actually show the filters in
the same manner as when you are opening a file: File|Open|click All
files & scroll through the list - or similar (File Type).

In any event, I very much agree that there is room for improvement in
the way the filters are shown.
