Kudo's for the effort... However, I'd recommend against doing this in the future. It is quite a balancing act to get the software pushed out to the mirrors, coordinate a release, and stave off the 'early downloaders' in the process. Subscribe to the release list & you'll (hopefully) see what I am referring to. Besides, didn't you previously say that you'd already downloaded 3.1.0rc2? I may be mistaken, but if so, then there was no need to take up extra bandwidth on the mirrors by downloading another copy - you already had the final version. The mirrors are provided by organizations that donate their time, bandwidth, and storage space/resources voluntarily.
