You don't have to go back to Word. Just set your default "save as" to save as a .doc file. You may choose from several versions of .doc files. Go to tools > options > Load/Save > General > in the bottom right corner there is a drop down labeled "Always save as" where you can select your choice.
Thank you for your reply, but I'm sorry, Gene, it won't work. I just tried it, and there is no option to save as an MS Word 2003 document. It only will save as MS 2000 document. So, I still need to uninstall. I really want to do this. I downloaded OO because a friend who was going to edit my book didn't have Word. But then he couldn't figure out how to do it, so I had to hire someone.
