How is the interface (menus, etc.) language changed?
A post by Brigitte Mees (Texte en format "paysage") poses a simple
question, but answering with some assurance about her menus requires a
view of OO's French [possibly Belgian French if that matters] menus. I
went to Options | Tools | Languages and tried changing "Locale setting"
and "Default language for documents" to "French (Belgium)", with "User
interface" remaining at "Default" (the only other choice being "English
(USA)" - but the menus, and all of the user interface, remain in USA
English.
Next attempt: went to the OO Downloads page
<http://download.openoffice.org/other.html> looking for some kind of
language packs, but again nothing: just complete package downloads in
different languages. I'm sure the executable code does not change from
language to language; just the user interface. Is there a simple way to
make that change on an installed package?
