page, but when the document reaches two pages, I'd like the footer on
page 1 to switch to a different/simple footer (it will just have a date,

I just can't figure out how to do it...

I forgot to mention -- if your document will never be more than two
pages, you can set the Default style to use Final Page as its next
style; then no manual page break will be required when using the
template. You only need that if there's a chance of three or more pages,
when you want the Default to Default flow.
