No, you have subscribed to a mailing list and will receive all email
sent to the list. None of it is addressed to you, it is addressed to

ever interacted, nor responded to any of these before. But, when an email
appears like this implicating me in something I have never had anything to
do with, well. . . Therefore, I demand, not request, that this slanderous
and liable-less email implicating me in any way whatsoever for any kind of
personal attacks, be stopped immediately or I guarantee there will be legal
action.
You can demand all you want but the only way to not receive ALL the
messages sent to the list is to unsubscribe from the list completely.
(directions at the bottom of each message) I would not recommend any
attempt at legal action as that would just waste your money needlessly.

Just to be clear, I find it very sad and pathetic when a forum that is both
informative and educational be reduced to this.
Not a forum, a mailing list, but I agree with your sentiments re; the
degeneration of the list to arguments that do not concern OO anyway.
