There is definitely something weird going on. If I go to my master document
and:

   1. F11
   2. Right click *Default*
   3. Modify
   4. Change say Spacing > Below para
   5. Click OK and the change made is auto applied to all paras throughout
the document with the "*Default*" style

If I repeat steps 1-5 but at step 4 change the "*Indent*" settings then it
doesn't work.

If I do the same steps above on my small test document everything works and
the changes are seen immediately. So there must be some problem in my master
document. Any clues?
