Sorry about that. OpenOffice is free software that you can download
yourself. It is a "big" bit of software to download though. That is
why many people choose to pay a small "convenience" fee to have it
burnt on a CD.

Anyone is allowed to download it and resell the free package for
whatever they can get. It sounds like you did not have a good
experience with GA Computer Sciences. In my opinion (just another user
on the list), they ought to at least replace the CD.

This is a mail list that will support you. It works better if you sign
up for it. Or you may not see the answers. Keeping email on the list
provides a history and resource for others.

Go to openoffice.org to download your own version, if you can. Or
search the mail list archives. There is good advice there on how to
download openoffice, even on slow connections.
