The new file format (*.od*) was introduced in OOo 1.9.65. Whatever
you created in 1.9.109 is in the new file format and will be not need
to be converted. Neither will they be lost unless you delete them.
OOo 2.0 is not ready yet. It is still in beta testing. The latest
one is 1.9.130. There seems to be some hope that 2.0 will be coming
soon.

But did you name and save the database? If so, do a search for
files ending in .odb. (*.odb should be used as the file you are
searching for.)

Sorry, I have no idea why this happened. I doubt that spyware was
the problem. If that were the case, this problem would have continued
until the spyware was removed.
