Patience, perseverence, and a 20% across-the-board reduction in the size of developer egos in the OSS world. The fact is that we do build a lot of products that are more effective and productive than what's commercially available. I do think there's a big paradigm shift coming over time, but I don't think there's going to be a big watershed event. Product momentum is one of those things that's actually harder to destroy than to create. --Jekke -----Original Message----- From: Lars D. I stated nothing about what it will or will not break the hold of. I stated that the cost of moving to OOo is probably cheaper than to MSO 2007 and I stated that most users would not notice they were using OOo. > I'm still waiting for something to actually do so. There have always been better tools than MS has offered, sometimes light years better, a case in point being Netware + NDS vs Windows + AD... Lock-in and illegal business methods have to be dealt with first. -Lars Lars Nooden ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) Keep the market open by keeping software patents out: http://europa.eu.int/comm/internal_market/indprop/patent/consultation_en.htm --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
