I don't think it would. Why cannot the styles (T1-Tx), which are the
holders for the formatting be revealed in an editable format? Then
the best of both worlds could be realized.
If you look at the content.xml there is a Tx token for each formatting
change. This toke in defined at the beginning of the document. As
was suggested by Jallan, an Properties Map could resolve this problem.
I say supply the map and the ability to view where the styles tokens
are located within the document and issue with reveal codes will be
almost resolved. No need to re-write anything. Just an overlying
style editor.
The more this thread explains things to me, the more I see both sides
of the argument.
