Dave, Thanks for responding. Here are the answers to your questions. 1) Yes, I have two subdirectories that refer to OO, a version 2.0 directory and a 1.9.95 subdirectory. Should I remove the old one?
2) Can you track the download mirror? No, because the mirror seems to be randomly selected from the OO download page. When you select Windows as your OS, each time a different mirror is used. HERE'S THE REALLY WEIRD PART: I've discovered that if I open a new spreadsheet, Impress, Drawing, or HTML document, the Check Update option appears in the Help menu. But If I open a Writer document, the Update options DOES NOT APPEAR. I'm wondering if this may have something to do with the template I've created for text documents. Or maybe this is just a red herring and the Writer template has nothing to do with it. Any ideas?
