Hi Joe;
You have a problem with this spreadsheet. It produces the median sales
value/size in each geo location, not the median price. We need to incorporate
the 'quantity' then a formula using that to calculate the median from the
'Sales Price' column. I will do this for you, when I have a little more time.

  Attached is a 16KB spreadsheet that will do as you ask.
  The newsgroup server will strip off the attachment, but
  I am including your email address as well so that you will
  get the attachment.

Could someone please steer me in the direction for the following?

Let's say I have sales records for lots of transactions (represented by rows
in a spreadsheet). Three of the fields are geographic location, sales
price, and size. If I want to calculate the median price for just records
in a certain geographic area and a certain size, how would I write that
function?

Thanks!
The requester was Franco <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, not me. I was trying to teach him how to write his IF function. He can get the idea of the formula pattern and adopt the formula to meet his specific needs.
