If you need to send (via e-mail or whatever) the documents/presentations you produce with OpenOffice to someone using Microsoft Office then a) you will need to use the "Save As" feature to save your files in Microsoft format and b) the documents/presentations *might not* appear *exactly* the same on the recipient's screen/printer.
