If the pages change from left to right after ctrl+Enter, then probably
you styles are in place. I've not read the chapters of the writer guide
on this matter, but if you change the pagestyle on the pages you want to
be the right handed that might also help.

Ok, I click on the first page which is left handed. Then hit ctrl
enter then that page becomes the second page and it becomes right
handed and the first page is again left handed. WoW! I'm getting a
lot of blank pages here my next problem is going to be how ro get rid
of some of them.

Howard,
Creating a blank page is much easier than you think. Just hit
Ctrl+Enter and it's done!
Dan,
If your first page is on the left hand and you insert a blank page
*before* then it should be on the right hand, because it then becomes
an odd page, right?

I think the easiest way is to start at the beginning of the first
page and move the text down by typing your new text . If you just
want a blank page, press enter until you have it.

Hello All,
I have a book in OOo with a couple hundred pages. I used LULU's
page formatting. I have pages ahead of the title page but the
first page is a left hand page. I need the first page to be a right
hand page. How in the heck do I add another page at the beginning.
I've done a lot of reading but have not found an answer. Surely it
can't be as hard as I've made itout to be. Doug
Have you tried a manual page break on the previous page?
