Hello,

I just looked at your document and the styles.. It is confusing I see the
differences in the header styles but I don't see any difference between page
styles.. if you look at your "left page" style it shows next style as "Left
page" ??? However you have the margins the same between the pages.. ??
Also left and right page styles do NOT have headers on. It looks like you
have a page stye called "body" ??, that you start with as default then the
next page has a left page assigned to it.. from there on each page
gets "left"
I just need *one* page style. It is named "Body" (because it is in fact
part of a larger document). The styles you mention are standard OOo
Writer styles that are in the document, but that I do not use. I don't
require different margins for left an right pages. I simply set
different headers for the left and right pages.
I'm not sure what you mean with the following:
"that you start with as default then the next page has a left page
assigned to it.. from there on each page gets "left" "
All pages in the document have the page style "Body". The headers are
simply different for left and right pages.
When I apply the left page style there is no header turned on. Are you
confusing "page styles" with "paragraph styles" I think you need some
consistancy if you are going to use different left and right pages.
First off use "left and right Page styles" on the pages. Then format the
headers with what ever paragraph style you want to use.. if you want the
same graphic on every page put it on the page in the background.
<Format/page/background/image>
No, I am not confusing them. I am simply using only the page style
"Body" with different headers for left/right pages. In fact, the problem
has nothing to do with left/right pages at all.
I don't think you see the problem. If you look closely at headers.odt,
you'll see the graphic is shifted slightly to the left on the third page
as opposed to the (reference) first page. The same is true for the even
pages. Unless this only occurs on my installation of OOo.
I'll try putting the graphic in the background... That doesn't allow me
to insert OOo Draw graphics however, but I'll try with an EPS.
also you should not use returns (new paragraph) to move to the next page..
inset a break (page).. hope this helps.. Fred
In my document I don't have any page-breaks. I simple replaced the text
with linefeeds to make the headers.odt as small as possible (plus I'm
not supposed to distribute the contents of the document).

Brecht
