I have just downloaded 2.1 and am not able to install as I get the Internal Error 2755.1601 C:\OpenOffice\OOo2.1\openoffice org21.msi.
I particularly created the destination C:\OpenOffice\OOo2.1 as I downloaded the slightly earlier version about 2 weeks ago. That brings up another query, as I tried to uninstall that earlier version size 318.00MB using Add or Remove Programs but it would not let me uninstall. Presuming you are able to give me clear instructions for resolving the failure to install, would you also inform me what I need to do regarding the earlier version I installed recently, - or have you built in a feature to take care of that. Please bear in mind that I have them in entirely different directories. I did not opt to download to my documents. My Windows version is XP home SP2 I am David Anderson, a current member and yesterday I sent you a completed Error report form about my inability to get the program to even download in the first place.
