"What has happened is that an important configuration file has been
corrupted. To fix this you have to know where you have your personal
copy of OOo installed and then delete the offending corrupted file.
Since you have not told us which Windows you use nor told us whether you
installed OOo as standalone or multi-user, I cannot give you an absolute
answer. Please look for this file <where OOo is
installed>\user\registry\data\org\openoffice\Office\Common.xcu. When you
have found it, exit OOo and the OOo quickstarter. delete the file and
restart OOo. "
