I have recently installed OpenOffice on one of my computers. I have used OpenOffice approx. 2 years ago. My problem is that I tried to send an article, I had typed in openOffice and saved in My Documents, to my husband's computer (Microsoft Word). When he tried to open the file it was unreadable. I thought OpenOffice and Microsoft Word Documents were interchangeable. Is there a solution to this problem.
