Dear Mr. Fuchs,

Thank you for the speedy reply. The document does open in MS Word, but I no
longer have the MS Word icon next to my documents. I have what looks like a
MS Wordpad icon. This started after I uninstalled Open Office. Even if I
create a new document in MS Word and save as .doc, in the "My Documents"
folder, it will have the Wordpad icon next to it.

I am hoping someone can assist me in getting my machine back to its original
state.

Thanks and best regards,
Vin Savino

What exactly happens when you try to open one of the documents by double
clicking on it? Your answer will, hopefully, determine the solution to
your problem.
