Dear Mr. Fuchs, Thank you for the speedy reply. The document does open in MS Word, but I no longer have the MS Word icon next to my documents. I have what looks like a MS Wordpad icon. This started after I uninstalled Open Office. Even if I create a new document in MS Word and save as .doc, in the "My Documents" folder, it will have the Wordpad icon next to it.
I am hoping someone can assist me in getting my machine back to its original state.
