But this is the issue that OpenOffice should be pushing on the promotion
of ODF. I understand this so well after this last weekend. Going
through some old disks that we don't have the software for anymore and
not being able to open the files. Now I have spreadsheets that are
written in Qpro for DOS and Windows. I have some other files with a
*.tc extension but I cannot find any details on them. But I have some
WordPerfect files that OpenOffice opens with no problems. There are
some Lotus 1-2-3 files as well.
Now is a good time to push this information to individual, especially
with Microsoft changing their default file format.
