I just installed Open Office 2.2 from an Open CD that I purchased from Amazon. I will have lots of questions as time goes on but I hope to do this right and not cause problems. I was interested in the post on netiquette so I will try to follow those suggestions. I did not find anything at FAQ. If I request the past posts will I get a lot of basic information that has already been covered? In my Welcome Message I did not see any reference to archives. Where would I find those? Joyce
You've done the best thing possible by subscribing to the users list. Although this is a fairly high volume list IMHO it does have lots of good questions and information. There is also the 'digest' version should the daily emails get too much. In relation to past posts, you'll find that over time the basic information (even though it is covered in the FAQ's - (http://user-faq.openoffice.org/)) will be repeated so there is probably no point in requesting passed messages from the email list manager.
