performance problems in opening excel spreadsheets:

There are many more... I just got tired of looking.

I've no doubt that eventually many of the issues will get resolved to a
degree. But in the meantime I think it does no good to continue to
provide the MS api/app boilerplate (which I've even done in the past :-).
