I tried to create a couple of styles use them --> Ok I tried to modify them --> Ok I deleted one of them --> Ok I saved the spreadsheet and re-opened. The deleted style did not reappear --> Ok. As a consequence I am afraid this is a problem with your configuration. Is the spreadsheet protected? Of course I might have been lucky.
