I think the feature you've described is a 'full rights' password. If the
user enters the required password then the document can be opened, edited
and saved using the same path and file name.

And the feature has an interesting quirk, the password must be at least five
characters or the OK button isn't enabled on the password dialog. I say
interesting but for some it would certainly be frustrating since there is no
label in the dialog saying the password must be at least five characters.
