Lisi, I have no difficulty whatever in using SCIM to insert Chinese or
Japanese glyphs into OOo documents on an Ubuntu Gutsy setup in which the OOo
default has been set to a West European language, viz, Swedish. Thus it does
indeed seem possible to resolve the problem of differing fonts for differing
languages at the OS level. やって御覧 !...
