The "Or you could just burn the smaller files you can get from the normal download options." seems to my that I said you did not need to burn the ISO but just the program itself.
But that is my opinion on what I said

--go to the mirror web page
  http://distribution.openoffice.org/mirrors/
--
--and then go to a FTP mirror in your country - for localization
--and then find the "extended" or "contrib" folder and go to the "iso"
--folder.  Now download.   Or you could just burn the smaller files
--you can get from the normal download options.

--a site to get whatever version you want - but not in ISO format.

then I listed all of the different download file you can get.
