This is the sticking point. Because I can't find a way to tell the ruler to let me set stops only on particular values (e.g., on multiples of .10" or .15"), there's no easy way to set tap stops separated by precise amounts. If I want to make sure my tabs are separated by specific amounts, my impression is that I have to type the offsets in manually. And if I then change my mind about the distance between the tabs, I have to manually type in all the new offsets. If the ruler let me set "snap to" points, I'd still have to move all the tab stops manually, but I could do it a lot faster.

Oh well.
