Right, but my original observation was that this is a lot more time consuming than moving sliders to snap locations on the ruler, especially if you end up deciding you want to change the tab locations. From what I can tell, the best way to approach this problem is to move the sliders on the ruler until they're more or less where you want them, then edit the offsets textually to ensure you have the precise values you want.
