Thanks for the info.... I know that if Norton "thinks" it is seeing a
worm/virus/etc., it will take a lot longer. However, this thing was running
for about 35 hours.... Seems Norton would have found something out by
then. <grin>

This is perhaps a wild guess, but the "My doom" worm is transmitted as
a
zip file. So, Norton may think it needs to look inside this file, and
there
are probably many files within images_crystal.zip that it would have to
consider. If this is true, that takes time.
REMEMBER: this is just a guess and not necessarily an educated guess.

OOo 2.3.1.
When my Norton does a full system scan, it gets hung up on the following
folder:
c:\Program Files\OpenOffice 2.3\share\config\images_crystal.zip
Any ideas why this occurs and how I can stop it??
