Ok - First sorry if this email is in the wrong format - damned web mail systems and pop3...long story....but I don't want to take the time to fix that under Kubutu tonight
I have done the following: Re-booted into Kubuntu 7.1 Used Kexi to import the northwind.mdb file - works great Then installed the drivers to connect OO.o 2.3.1 (Kubuntu 7.1 AMD64 distro version) to the kexi file - also works great. I can read and update the tables and merge them to Writer. You need to install the files libslq3odbc.so ( under adept that is libsqliteodbc ) Then you need to configure ODBC ( I installed ODBCConfig I needed to reboot after install but it then automatically recognized the SQLite driver- you must start this from a command line also ) Using ODBCConfig I created a User DSN that connected to nwind.kexi ( the file I created in Kexi ) Then create the Base file that uses this ODBC connection...LOL...ok it isn't that much.. I am going to pop over to the wiki and add a page about doning this with a bit more detail and screen shots..etc... Drew Helping OO.org users help each other http://user.services.openoffice.org
