Please explain in detail *exactly* what happened when you ran the
Microsoft Windows Installer Cleanup Utility. Why is it "not useful"? It
has always succeeded in the past to fix this problem (error number
1714). Did you stop the Quickstarter before you ran the utility? This is
necessary; always to remove software it must not be running.
