You don't say which Operating System you are using. The download and installation instructions are different for different OSs. You also don't say what your problem is so it's a little hard to help ... So, go to http://www.openoffice.org/ and click the big green "Get OpenOffice.org" button. On the right hand side of the page that opens is a link to "Installation Instructions" click it and carefully read and follow the instructions in the relevant section of the page that opens. On the assumption that you are using Windows, read and follow the instructions in the Windows section. Of course you may print the page if that makes life easier for you.
