Checked out your file ...... this is definitely an openoffice issue. My
staroffice/openoffice 2.* is exhibiting the behavior you mention on
Linux too.
BUT
openoffice 3.0 (pre-beta DEV300 m6) happily opens the file.
Can I use your document to submit bug report ?

Hi,
Until today I was using openoffice 2.3 NL and I suddenly experienced
problems where the program stalls, recovery after startup fails even
sometimes. As a result I lost several hours time over time while being
on a very tight schedule for finnishing my thesis!!!!!!!! Recovery
resulted even in a corrupted backup file. A simple moveclick on a pull
down menu-file save as is even causing long stalls.
So I thought I needed to update to version 2.4 NL and the problems
became worse. Even while typing in this document (see attachment) the
program works very very unstable and turns out to be very unreliable.
I hope it's only down to some stupid update of Windows Vista which can
be undone. My first clues are that it's down to some updates somewhere
because with version 2.2. things were perfect. Please tell me what is
wrong here.
