He didn't see your response - he is unsubscribed so you'll need to cc or forward to him. I also tried in StarOffice 8/rev9 (linux) and also had issues; CPU maxed out and I finally had to kill it. OOo 2.4.0 opened the doc fine. OOo3.0M5 opened the file also, albeit slower than 2.4.0. BTW: where are you getting M6 from?
