As you've been told before, you must send an e-mail *from the subscribed
account* (in this case, [EMAIL PROTECTED]) directly to
[EMAIL PROTECTED]; the message must be received as being
from that account. Then you must get *on that account* and receive the
confirmation e-mail (which could be difficult, since you say you've
blocked all the addresses). Then you must follow the instructions in
that e-mail to confirm the cancellation of the subscription, *still from
within that account*. (There is no way to "unsubscribe in every program"
as you say you've done. I'm curious to know exactly what you mean by
this.) How many of the steps I have given here did you follow, if any?
What happened?
Why you thought uninstalling the openoffice.org software would have any
effect on your e-mail traffic, I don't know. And if you're getting
actual spam (as opposed to the legitimate traffic of this mailing list),
that has nothing to do with this list, unless somebody else with a bad
attitude has used the publicly available information of the people
posting here to create a mailing list, and there's nothing we can do
about that -- nor can any other public mailing list.
Of course, if you are a troll, I've just fed you -- and my apologies to
the legitimate subscribers to this list. I try to give people the
benefit of the doubt, but that can get very difficult at times.
