I wasn't sure if you got the TX500 or TX1500.  The 1500 does mention it is
24 h and �C selectable.  But, that must be with the switches shown on the
front instead of with hidden jumpers.  I guess the jumpers are meant to
easily select the mode for the different markets.  When those units are sold
in Canada or elsewhere, they can pre-select the degree Celsius and/or 24 h
mode.

Or they can leave it in Fahrenheit mode and hope Fahrenheit catches on
world-wide.  People will not know how to change Fahrenheit to degrees
Celsius or 12 h to 24 h, so they leave it like it is and get use to the FFU.
A subtle way of introducing FFU to the metric world.
