Dear Pat and All,
we should all remember that a pre-metric ?gallon? is less practicably comparable in more scenarios of use than the is the SI (metric) liter. [likewise for the pre-metric ?mile? in comparison with a metric or decimally-scaled meter (or metre if you please)] pre-metric = bureaucracy = hidden tax = pre-metric metric = simplicity = efficiency = best practice = value has EPA concluded that public does not wonder why EPA is not yet up-to-metric? has pre-media concluded that public does not wonder why pre-media is not yet up-to-metric? cheers, Ron On Sat, Jun 25, 2011 at 8:39 PM, Pat Naughtin < [email protected]> wrote: > Dear All, > > You will be interested in this reference from Reuters: > http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/06/24/idUS27637249720110624 where they > write: > > So, the EPA had to come up with a new unit of measurement in order to help > the public understand all those crazy and complicated numbers.
