Hard to say. My previous message will tell how they relate to each
other, at least from a marketing standpoint. While I sometimes
ride hard int he twisties, I don't think I demand enough of any of
the MEZs to make then slip. I've stayed away from the MEZ1 and MEZ3
just because I didn't want them to wear out prematurely.

Now, I recently changed tires on the GTS, and put an MEZ3 on the
front, with a Z4 on the rear. They should have worn out at the
same time. That is, until the bike shop ran over a nail while
doing other work on it. (damn, it was a brand new tire! &#%$@)
So they replaced it with what they had- An MEZ1 with Race compound.
I'm heading to Mexico from San Jose tomorrow, will do about 2000
miles this weekend. (through monday)
I'm hoping the tire will get me home. Either way, I'll report on
its lifespan.

Likely. That's a protective coating most bike tire manufacturers
put on the rubber. Always be careful every time you put a new tire
on a bike. They're treacherous for the first 50 miles, and you should
be pretty cautious for the first 100 miles.

The first burnout I did on the 'Max was at a shop where I got new
tires. Didn't intend to light it up, but it just happened.
(the rest have been intentional ;-)

I have no experience with the Pilot.
