you gotta know bert to answer this one. he is
a class A tinkerer and wanted to more or less design his own
pipe using some software, his own intuition, and help from
PCW. it was what he preferred so PCW obliged. i haven't heard
from bert in a while but i guess he's on the "other" list and
i am not.
