Hi Phil,

When I bought my max, I was on the phone with them (Scott) in regards to the
best pipe to use.
Scott was very knowledgeable and staight up.....He told me that the Kerker did
in fact make
more top end power...2-3 HP on his dyno, however significant gains would
increase with a
motor likes yours due to increased flow(2.5" collector on the Kerker). However,
The Hindle
was the best choice for a stock street motor due to less noise and keeping the
center stand.
Torque was improved with the Hindle by using the 18" can rather than the 16". I
still think the
Hindle is a Good pipe. I want to get 130hp out of my max without going into it.
This is my goal.
Also, I wanted to see for myself...with my own eyes...which pipe did infact work
best. Ive
proved that. Your built motor would really benifit from the Kerker, however, the
centerstand
must go. I really hated that.....but IT WAS WORTH IT! My latest dyno run was
uncorrected
at 124.2HP and 84.0 ft lbs torque. My HP fell off from 126.8 but the torque was
up by 4 ft lbs.
Also, the Kerker increased the torque OVER 15 lbs at 3500rpm with no dip
anywhere in the
curve. Still using the stock airbox........

Don't kill yourself on that torque monster!

Stan
