OK, is this right,
I installed the lower temp setpoint Borg-Warner fan switch (with stock
radiator) because the fan would not come on until the edge of the redline.
Now the fan comes on before the needle reaches the dot (which doesn't seem
right) on the temp gauge which is when the internal (motor) thermostat
allows cooling water to circulate (optimum operating temp).
In stop and go traffic the motor still appears to be over heating (wants to
die/hard to start back when it does) even though needle is below redline.
Appears motor heat is not being dissipated.
Anyone else experiencing this condition?
Is there anything short of the SlimMax radiator that can be done? Will
"Water Wetter" heat transfer help that much (and is it safe for the
internals)?
