Dennis-The max has a really good cooling system. My 97 will kick the fan on at
the top of the black and cool to about the "dot"., and cycle there forever. You
might check your radiator for debris in the fins. Blow out with compressed air
from behind. Some times you get lot's of little bug parts there to inhibit air
flow. You can also use a hose and reverse flush through the radiator. Depending
on the age, and frequency of coolant change you may have some internal corrosion
to inhibit coolant flow. A properly maintained Max cooling system should give
you no problems. I've been in 105+ weather and no "burps" or boiling.
I use 50/50 Dex-Cool and distilled water, changed every two years.
