I just replaced the damaged front brake master cylinder on my '85 Max with
one from a '98. My '85 is marked for Dot 3 brake fluid, and the '98 unit is
marked for Dot 4. The old Dot 3 fluid is still present in the front brake
system in the lines and calipers. Are there any compatibility problems? I'd
like to use Dot 4, but I'm not sure if I'm going to have a problem. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.
