If the 93 is like my 95 then you are in good shape. I did this last night
and grabbed all the wires from behind the left scoop. This way there is no
need to remove the seat. To wire it up do the following. Remove the faux
tank and left scoop. Remove the 3 screws that hold the black plastic
cluster that has the 3 electrical boxes. The whole piece comes off as one.
Behind that there is the bundle that comes from the tach cluster. In that
wire bundle the Gray is the tach signal wire. That goes to green on the
shift light. The blue is 12V switched and that goes to red from the shift
light. Connect the black to frame or the black wire in the same bundle. I
used the quick splice type connectors and had it wired up in 10 minutes. I
have the small MSD shift light. If you have the same cut all three loops.
If you did it right when you turn the key the light comes on for about 1 sec
and will turn on at the RPM at which you installed the chip for. I hope
this helps.

Subject: Wiring Know How

Hello All,

I just purchased my first Vmax('93) a couple of weeks ago and am not totally

familiar with it. I would like to fall back of the experience of the list
members for there opinions and advise on a couple of electrical questions.
1.) I just purchased a shift indicator light. Where is the best place to
tap
into a 12volt(key on) battery source for something like this?

2.)I have been reading recently how some of you are putting in a manual
switch to operate the Vboost servo motor. Is it possible to wire the Vboost

circuit so you can also still select Auto Vboost as well as on or off all
the
time? If so, how is it done?

Thanks for any help you can provide
