Today I was talking with Paul of Mad Max Enterprises, (a custom bike
shop specializes only on VMAX, in other words. BARON OF VMAX), he
mentioned that most of his bikes gain 10 to 15hp on the rear wheel
just by changing the rear end to chain instead of shaft drive???. He
has dyno charts that proves it. He said a stock Vmax with drive shaft
peaks at 118 to 120 HP on the rear wheel. When they install there
chain drive kit, it delivers 135 to 140 REAR WHEEL HP....
Thinking about it, it makes sence. The friction on the drive shaft,
seals, pinion gear, ring gear... etc is definitly much higher than a
directly coupled chain or belt???.
