Don,
I would try Ander's recommendations, (removing the "Y" and using a
K&N), first before going crazy. You have diagnosed the problem
correctly that the bog is simply too much needle, (die nadel). There
should also be a set of DJ150s in the kit .. these aren't intended to
be a main jet selection for performance "challenged" Vmaxes .. they
are intended to go in the PAJ2 position, (behind the slide rubber), if
you really need them. There purpose in life is to richen your pilot
mixture ...... they will do just that .. if you find "off idle"
response lacking, (or worse), after removing the "Y". Of course the
kit clearly states that it is not designed to work with any type of
airbox modifications but I can't imagine any Vmax even operating at a
negative altitude being able to digest "their" initial setup
recommendations and the PAJ2 replacements too ..... with a stock
airbox ... that is just lots and lots and lots of fuel ........ Yes ..
if you get this right .. it should get your attention ......
