I'm a firm believer on the V-boost and its more than proved performance will deliver
more power than a full Stage 7 Kit bellow 6.500 RPM. Even more I'm prepared to admit
that the non V-boost max can outrun a fully tuned S7K with K&N individual filters and
fully open exhausts up to the 6000 rev. mark. Why do I say this now? well I happened
to meet a non v-boost max ( a good friend of mine ) and after swapping bikes and
trying his I can seriously say that his max pulled stronger than my max under the
5000 revs.

Now if I pulled really hard (now on my bike ), which I did after the first try and I
allow the bike to take off over the 6000 revs and keep going always maintaining the
rev counter over those revs, the other max is clearly a loser.

My point is, what is the meaning of having a bike that should have terrific torque
from right under, behave like a two stroke with a very narrow power band width and
right up at the top?

Once back to normal riding, I'm lacking the punch I used to have, with the sweet
mellow idle and plenty of torque as you slowly accelerate. What on earth are we doing
with the Max? Why can't we have the benefit of both worlds?

PS. I still prefer my bomb as it is now, but would pay whatever it takes to regain the
lost low end torque and the smooth idle.........

Any ideas?
